Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator recruits members for the Living In Recovery community and encourages their active participation in programming. This role assists in training members to facilitate groups based on shared experiences and interests, ensures a recovery-focused program schedule, and upholds the peer participatory process. The Volunteer Coordinator should embody positivity, initiative, and collaboration—serving as a community builder who works well with colleagues and peers while honoring all pathways to recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Living in Recovery community.
Ensure that the site is clean, welcoming, and recovery-oriented.
Provide for safety, security, and maintenance needs of members.
Contribute to the growth of a peer-led recovery community.
Co-facilitate groups with members of Living in Recovery.
Recruit new members and encourage their ongoing participation.
Identify and develop member leadership by supporting co-leadership of groups.
Create and maintain a schedule of groups, including volunteer-led activities.
Train volunteer members in recovery processes, pathways, and four types of support.
Ensure new members are oriented, integrated, and comfortable at Living in Recovery.
Support members in accessing community
Maintain a positive, supportive, and respectful environment at all times.
Uphold policies and procedures of Living in Recovery.
Attend staff meetings, supervision, and required training. Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of sustained recovery.
Recovery Coach Certification preferred (training provided if needed).
Experience supervising and/or recruiting volunteers or staff preferred.
Familiarity with the local recovery community.
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
Strong interpersonal skills: positive, upbeat, collaborative, community builder, and open to all recovery pathways.

Peer Support Coordinator
The Peer Support Coordinator provides non-clinical, peer-based support to individuals in recovery, helping them build and maintain a healthy, sustainable recovery journey. This role emphasizes respect, participation, and the shared experience of recovery while fostering a welcoming, peer-led community.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the daily operations and community environment of Living in Recovery.
Meet with members individually and co-facilitate peer-led groups.
Assist members in creating relapse prevention plans and accessing recovery and community resources.
Help recruit, train, and orient new members and volunteers.
Encourage peer participation in decision-making and community activities.
Maintain confidentiality, uphold policies, and contribute to a safe, supportive environment.
Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
Provide transportation and support at community meetings, trainings, and events.

Valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification, and ability to meet physical requirements.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position, requiring flexibility for evenings, weekends, and special events.
